I just saw a note by a friend, Linda Dewing, who quotes a friend of hers:
“The first fifteen years of my career were spent in the for-profit world, where the bottom line is about making money. The past ten years have been devoted to the non-profit world, where the bottom line is about helping others.”
“That got me thinking,” comments Linda. “Distinguishing between work that makes money and work that helps others is a common way of differentiating how we work. The amazing thing about being in network marketing is that we don’t have to make that division. We are making money and helping people—and we’re helping other people make money and help people, too!”
What a great description of this profession. You get to eat your cake and serve it, too.
